Policies & Care
Deposit & Payment
A $50 deposit per goose is due at the time of purchase to reserve your spot in the production queue. The remaining balance is due at delivery or pickup.
Refunds & Returns
We want you to love your goose. Here's how refunds and cancellations work. Deposits: A $50 deposit per goose reserves your spot. You can cancel for a full refund of your deposit any time before we finalize your order and begin production. Once we've started making your goose, the deposit becomes non-refundable (it covers materials and reserved time). Custom & made-to-order geese: Because each goose is hand-painted to your design, custom orders can't be returned or refunded once painting has begun. If something isn't right, contact us โ we'll always try to make it right. Cancellations by us: If we're ever unable to complete your order, you'll receive a full refund, including your deposit. Card payments: Refunds are issued back to your original card. Peer-to-peer payments (Venmo, Cash App, Zelle) are refunded through the same app. Damaged in our delivery: See our Damage Disclaimer โ we'll repair or replace it at no charge if you report it within 24 hours with a photo. Questions? Email us at gelsosgeese@gmail.com and we'll take care of you.
Custom Design Fee
Our standard designs (Original, Canadian, Flamingoose, and more) carry no design fee. If you customize your own colors, a $20-40 design fee applies, determined when Gelso finalizes your purchase.
Care Instructions
Your concrete goose is built to live outdoors for years. Rinse it with a hose and mild soap whenever it needs freshening up. In freezing climates, we recommend bringing smaller geese indoors or covering them over winter, since water can seep into concrete and expand.
Damage & Neck Repair
Every GELSO's Goose is hand-poured and hand-painted, so small variations in color, texture, and finish are normal โ part of the charm, not flaws. We seal each one for the outdoors, but concrete can still chip or fade over time, and the neck is the delicate spot: set your goose on a level surface, lift it with care, and keep it clear of bumps. If it arrives damaged from our delivery, send a photo within 24 hours and we'll repair or replace it free. After that, a little care keeps it guarding your porch for years. ๐
Necks are the most delicate part of a concrete goose. If yours is damaged after it leaves us, don't worry โ watch our neck repair video for an easy fix, or reach out and we'll help.
