🛒 Ordering a Goose

Browse all available geese at /shop. Each listing shows the paint style, price, and estimated ready date.

How deposits work

Most geese require a $40 deposit to secure your spot. You pay the deposit online now, and the remaining balance is collected at pickup or delivery. Your goose won't start production until the deposit is confirmed.

Pre-order geese

Geese marked Pre-order have been poured but aren't finished painting yet. You can reserve one before it's done — you'll get to follow the painting process in your order timeline.

Find a goose you love in the shop.

Click Secure My Goose and complete the deposit checkout.

You'll get a confirmation email. Create an account (or log in) to track your order on the site.

Watch your goose move through production in real time. Gelso adds photos as she works.

When it's ready, Gelso will contact you to arrange pickup in Cypress, TX or delivery.
Geese are one-of-a-kind. Once a goose is sold, it's gone. If you see one you love, don't wait.

🎨 Custom Goose

Want something that doesn't exist in the shop yet? Use the Custom Goose Designer to describe your vision — theme, colors, accessories, any special requests.

Choose a base style, describe your theme, and add any notes for Gelso.

Submit the form. Gelso will review your design and reach out to confirm details and pricing.

Once confirmed, a deposit secures your place in the production queue.
Custom geese typically take 2–4 weeks depending on the queue. Complex designs may take longer — Gelso will give you an honest estimate.

📍 Tracking Your Order

Order status banner

When you're logged in with an active order, a colored banner appears at the top of every page showing your goose's current stage. Click it to see your full order timeline, including any progress photos Gelso has added.

Order lookup (no account needed)

Go to /orders/lookup and enter the email you used when ordering. You'll see all orders tied to that email, with a full timeline for each.

If you ordered as a guest and can't find your order, check that you're using the exact email you entered at checkout. If you still can't find it, reach out to hello@gelsosgeese.com.

🗂 What Each Status Means

ConfirmedYour order is in — you're in the queue. Gelso will start your goose soon.
Deposit ReceivedYour deposit payment came through. Your spot is secured.
CuringYour goose was just poured. The concrete is setting and drying (Station 1). This takes a few days.
PaintingGelso is painting your goose (Station 2). This is where the personality gets added.
Quality CheckFinal review — making sure paint, seal, and finish are perfect before it leaves the studio.
Ready for PickupYour goose is done! Gelso will reach out to arrange pickup or delivery.
ShippedYour goose is on its way. Check the tracking info in your order timeline.
DeliveredYour goose is home. Enjoy!

🎁 Your Referral Code

Every account has a unique referral code. Find yours on your Profile page.

Share your code with friends who want a goose. When they enter it at checkout, the sale is credited to your referral record. It's our way of saying thanks for spreading the word.

Your referral code is also a shareable link. Just tell your friends to mention your name when they order and Gelso will make sure it gets logged.

🎪 Events & Workshops

Gelso occasionally hosts paint-your-own workshops and appears at local markets. Check the Events page for upcoming dates.

Click Register on any event to reserve your spot.

You'll get a confirmation. If it's a paid event, payment is collected at the door unless noted otherwise.
